As a 15 year plus resident of Palm Springs, “Hire Standards” is quite simply the best pool service we have ever had!

Winter, summer, spring or fall our pool is always glorious. FYI it’s an old pool circa 1960’s so it is not so easy to keep sparking. Over the years we have used 5 different pool maintenance providers and no one has even come close to giving us the quality of service your organization offers. Your people are on time, know what they are doing, are careful with our property and your rates are competitive.

Hector our service provider is courteous, conscientious and thoughtful with our dogs. He always makes sure the gates are closed, etc. Leaves and debris found in the filter are always deposited in the trash barrel not dumped in our planted areas. If it happens to be trash day, on his way in he brings up the trash barrels.

As a Native Californian we grew up with pools and know a thing or two about good service.

Steve (the CEO) calls customers on a regular basis to check on employees’ quality of work, attention to detail, promptness, customer respect and courtesy, etc. In fact, of the service vendors that service our home, Hire Standards’ work/business ethics and consistent performance separates Steve’s business from the rest of the pack. To us, he is the top dog in the Desert! During the recent torrential rain, my husband was in the hospital. I made a call to Steve as our pool was about to breech its water limit. He had a great many customers ahead of us. Regardless, he had an employee come within less than an hour to drain the pool to the necessary water level. And, he gave me his personal cell phone number to call if that didn’t happen, within the hour, as he would come and do it himself! Is this stellar service or what?! Further, his pool mechanical technician has always corrected any mechanical issue quickly and effectively. When a customer does not need to make call back appointments, to us that says Steve Little, CEO, and his employees know how to do the right things right the first time.

Dear Mr. Little,

Just a brief note to say how pleased we are with the performance of the Pentair Variable Speed pump that you installed in our Rancho Mirage property. The electric bills for the last 92-day billings are $375.80 less than last year. The electric usage has been reduced by 1066.25 kwh for the corresponding 92-day period.

Besides the savings in electricity, we now have a better performing pump and the pump noise level has been drastically reduced. Thank you for recommending and installing the variable speed pump which replaced the prior three pumps we had utilized for the pool.

I recently saw a pool service related story in The Desert Sun, which had an accompanying picture of you referencing your pool service company, especially related to energy savings. It occurred to me that while we have been very happy with Hire Standards I may not have offered to be a reference for you in the business development efforts, and I suspect referrals are a key part of your growth strategy!

You may recall we first did business when we had your stone masons rebuilt a water feature in our front courtyard which had been leaking badly for several years and others had been unable to fix it. You did fix it on time and at the bid price.

Our swimming pool had been a source of constant aggravation since we bought our home in 2003. You and your team fixed that, too. Not that is wasn’t full of challenges, but it is now a source of pride, not problems.
